Chennai: The directorate of Government Examinations on Friday announced the results of class 10 state board exam.
Going by the data, 91.55 is the overall pass percentage of this year. Highest percentage has been secured by the Ariyalur district with 97.31 percentage followed by Sivagangai with 97.02 percentile and Ramanathapuram with 96.02 percentage.
While 4, 22,000 (94.53%) girls passed the examination, 3, 96,000 (88.58 per cent) boys have cleared the examination with flying colours.
Eight students have scored centum in Tamil, 415 in English and 20,691 students in Mathematics.
There are a total of 4,105 schools across the state out of which 1,364 are government schools.
As many as 13,510 students with disability have appeared for the examination out of which 12,491 passed the exam with 92.45 percentage.
Besides, 260 prisoners took the Class 10 examinations out of which 228 cleared with 87.69 percentage.
Schools under tribal welfare departments scored 92.45 pass percentage.
