Indian Military Officials Clarify Ceasefire Terms, Debunk Pak’s False Claims

New Delhi: Following the India-Pakistan ceasefire agreement, Commodore Raghu R Nair, Colonel Sofia Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed a press conference in Delhi to clarify the terms of the truce and counter misinformation spread by Pakistan.

Commodore Raghu R Nair confirmed that both nations have agreed to halt all military activities on land, sea, and air. “The Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force have been instructed to strictly adhere to this understanding,” he stated, emphasizing India’s commitment to the ceasefire effective from 17:00 hours IST today.

Colonel Sofia Qureshi debunked Pakistan’s claims, stating, “Pakistan falsely alleged that it damaged our S400 and Brahmos missile bases with its JF-17 aircraft, which is entirely untrue. Their claims of damage to our airfields in Sirsa, Jammu, Pathankot, Bhatinda, Nalia, and Bhuj, as well as ammunition depots in Chandigarh and Vyas, are baseless.” She also refuted Pakistan’s accusations that the Indian Army targeted mosques, adding, “India is a secular nation, and our armed forces reflect the constitutional values of our country.”

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh clarified that Indian operations were solely directed at terrorist camps and facilities engaged in anti-India activities. “No religious sites have been targeted by the Indian Armed Forces,” she affirmed, underscoring the precision and intent of India’s military actions.

India resolved to uphold the ceasefire while addressing false narratives, reinforcing its commitment to peace and national security.
