Indian Navy Helicopter Chetak Crashes In Kochi, 2 Injured

Kochi:  A Chetak helicopter of Indian Navy crashed in the runway of INS Garuda during training on Saturday, seriously injuring the two officials on board.

According to sources, the incident took place around 2.30 pm.

The helicopter that can seat seven had two persons on board at the time of the incident.

While both the officials were seriously injured, the condition of one is stated to be extremely critical.

It was on a routine training flight.

Both the injured are undergoing treatment at a Naval base hospital here.

The Naval authorities are yet to come out with an official statement regarding it.
