Bhubaneswar: Indian Railways today has cancelled all the passenger train services till August 12. The trains include regular time-tabled mail or express trains and suburban rail services across the country.
Those who have booked tickets for the passenger train services between July 1 to August 12, will get the full refund, the railway ministry said in a statement today. The Railways had earlier announced a detailed guidelines on how to get refund for tickets.
In a statement the Railways said, “Services of all Regular Mail/Express Trains including Premium trains, Inter City trains and Local Passenger trains including MEMU services, which were earlier cancelled up to midnight of 30th June, 2020 , have now been further cancelled up to 12th August, 2020.”
All the tickets booked for the above regular time-tabled trains till 12.08.2020, may also be cancelled and full amount will be refunded as per the guidelines. “Special Trains which have been introduced from 12th May, 2020 and from 1st June, 2020 on specific routes & timings, will continue to provide services till further advice,” a press note issued by the national transporter added.
