JeM Planning Bigger Terrorist Attacks, Warn Intelligence Inputs

21 February 2019

Bhubaneswar: Intelligence agencies have alerted security forces that Jaish-e-Mohammed is planning more attacks on security convoys in Jammu and Kashmir in the next two days, stated reports in national media today.

These intel inputs come a week after a Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber Adil Ahmad attacked a CRPF convoy in Pulwama killing several soldiers. Reports stated that a tanzeem (a small terrorist group) has prepared a green Scorpio for a suicide attack being planned on the Chowkibal and Tangdhar routes.

There could be a major attack either in Jammu or outside J&K, reveal intel inputs. The intercepts picked up by the agencies also revealed that JeM is to release the video of the preparations of the Pulwama suicide bombing preparations.

A message has also been decoded that JeM referred to its last week attack as just a 200 kg "khilauna" -- or toy and the message further read “Be ready for a 500-kg blast. The war is between you and us. Come and fight; we are ready. This is just the beginning."

Intelligence agencies also indicate that a group of 5-6 terrorists is ready to infiltrate LoC to get in touch with local youth ready to carry out terrorist strikes.
