The results of the Jharkhand Assembly elections for 81 segments are set to be announced today. Counting of votes has begun across all centres across in the State.
A high-stakes battle was seen between the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led INDIA bloc and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) which includes the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United), and BJP. Both claimed to get a major mandate. JMM is striving to retain power while BJP is making a strong push to regain dominance.
