Bengaluru: Hindu organisations have slammed the ruling BJP over the murder of Praveen Kumar Nettare, a member of the BJP Yuva Morcha. Shri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik on Thursday chided the BJP that it is not bothered about the lives of Hindu activists.
The BJP leaders are playing the same tune of “strict action” and “immediate arrest” again and again while Hindu activists are being killed. “They (BJP) have taken a good decision not to celebrate the completion of one year in office by Chief Minister Bommai. Otherwise, the entire stage would have been filled with BJP and Hindu workers’ footwear,” he maintained.
Reacting to the backlash by BJP party workers and Hindu activists, BJP national general secretary and MLA C T Ravi asked the activists to act with discretion. Their outrage will only help anti-Hindu forces.
“It is a different matter that the organisations, individuals involved in this murder must be encountered or burnt alive. If there is a need, surgical strike could also be conducted,” Ravi stated.
“We can’t discuss certain issues with the media. I challenge let any Congress or JD (S) leaders call out on killing of Hindu activists. If at all anyone is there to protect Hindutva, it is only BJP. Only we have to do this, Ravi said.
When asked about banning the PFI and the SDPI, he stated that banning is not a solution as they will come into existence in another form. The Atal Bihari Vajpayee government had banned SIMI. Now, these two organisations are its present form, he claimed. “We have to go to the root. Along with killing the snake, we have to destroy the anthill it is taking shelter in, then only there could be peace,” he said.
