Bhubaneswar: As India moves towards the end of the third phase of the ongoing nationwide lockdown, announced in a bid to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced that the next Lockdown will be in a new form.
The fourth phase of the lockdown will be different from the previous ones. The announcement for Lockdown 4.0 will be made before May 18, said Modi. The fourth phase of lockdown will be completely redesigned, with new rules.
Beginning Wednesday, finance minister will announce details of special economic package, he added. The Prime Minister’ address came a day after he chaired his fifth meeting with the Chief Ministers over the issue of the lockdown extension.
