Kolkata: The slugfest between BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member Mahua Moitra over the recently-surfaced ‘cash for query’ controversy continued on Tuesday with the latter accusing Dubey of adopting fake educational certificates and also resorting to hooliganism at the airport.
Moitra questioned why no probe has been initiated against Dubey despite her raising charges against him of adopting fake certificates almost seven months back.
Late on Tuesday evening, Moitra issued a message on her official X handle, saying: “Who is lying? 2 days ago Fake Degree Wala said NIC already given details including ‘Dubai’ logins to probe agency. Now @AshwiniVaishnaw says NIC will give info in future IF asked by LS or Ethics Comm. BJP welcome to do hit job on me but Adani+Godda perhaps not best strategists!”
In her message, Moitra also accused Dubey, without directly naming him, of resorting to hooliganism at the air traffic control (ATC) of an airport.
“Amused to hear of @AshwiniVaishnaw letter to Fake Degree Wala promising support in ‘probe’ against me! Still waiting for HMOIndia & @Ministry_CA to probe Farji Dubey’s illegal entry into airport ATC room last year with kids!” Moitra tweeted.
