Bhubaneswar/Sukma: The body of a Maoist commander who was carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh on his head was found in a forest along Dantewada-Sukma border in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday.
Based on reliable input, CRPF and Police team recovered the body from the forest. He was identified as Deva alias Tirri Madkami. He was in hiding for a long time.
While the reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that internal conflicts in the Maoist organisation led to his death. A gun was also seized from near his body.
