Malkangiri: Maoists allegedly slit the throat of a villager under Sukma police limits of neighbouring State Chhattisgarh last night suspecting him to be a police informer.
Reportedly, around 10 to 15 Maoists arrived in the village last night and dragged one Dare Nabin out of his house. They took him to the middle of the village, slit his throat, and left the place.
The Maoists also left a note stating that he was killed on charges of being a police informer, destroying the forest, and illegally encroaching forest land.
On getting information, security forces reached the spot and his body has been sent for post-mortem.
