Bhubaneswar: Pakistan launched a series of drone strikes and artillery attacks on Thursday evening, targeting multiple locations in Jammu, including the civil airport, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia, Akhnoor, and nearby regions.
According to reports, the assault, which came a day after India’s strikes on terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, also included artillery shelling in Kupwara, Udhampur, and the Pathankot air base.
Indian defense forces responded swiftly, neutralizing all unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) mid-air using the advanced S-400 air defense system. Coordinated deployment of cutting-edge technology ensured no casualties or damage were reported, according to official sources.
Air raid sirens were activated in Akhnoor and Kishtwar, with a complete blackout enforced in these areas to enhance security measures.
The swift and effective response by India’s defense systems underscores the nation’s preparedness to counter cross-border aggression. Authorities remain on high alert as tensions persist in the region.
