Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached the Rashtrapati Bhawan to submit his resignation and submit the recommendation for the dissolution of 17th Lok Sabha.

Prime Minister Modi met President Droupadi Murmu and resigned from the top post. He would then stake claim to form the government.

It is pertinent to mention that The Election Commission of India has announced the final results for the Lok Sabha elections, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing a significant victory. The BJP has won 240 seats out of 543, while the Congress party has won 99 seats.

Modi retained his Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi, defeating the Congress’ Ajay Rai by less than 1.5 lakh votes to become a three-time MP from the temple town.
