Bhubaneswar: The President of India, Draupadi Murmu, appointed new Governors in 13 states on Sunday. While the President accepted Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s resignation as the Governor of Maharashtra was accepted, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan has been appointed the new Governor of Chhattisgarh.
Harichandan will be the 7th Governor of Chhattisgarh. He was appointed the Governor of Andhra Pradesh in July 2019.
Earlier, Harichandan was elected to the Odisha State Legislative Assembly five times.
