Bhubaneswar: Three rear-end coaches of Puducherry Express derailed near Matunga railway station in Mumbai on Friday night. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Reportedly, the incident took place due to a false signal passed at danger (SPAD). Following it, train services were suspended on the route and it also led to the delay of local trains as overhead wires were shut down.
While the overhead wire and track fitness work is being carried out on war footing, train services have resumed between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)- Dadar on the slow railway line.
