Bhubaneswar: A two-year-old girl fell into a 200-foot-deep open borewell while playing outside her house in the Bandikui area of Rajasthan’s Dausa on Wednesday.
The incident prompted immediate action from the district administration, with top officials rushing to the spot to initiate rescue operations.
Meanwhile, a massive rescue operation is underway in Dausa, following the mishap. Top officials, including District Collector Devendra Kumar and Superintendent of Police Ranjit Sharma have reached the spot and are overseeing the rescue operation.
Experienced teams from SDRF and NDRF have been deployed and are working tirelessly to rescue the child, who has been stuck for over five hours.
“We’re doing everything possible to save her as soon as possible,” said SP Ranjit Sharma.
It is learnt that rescuers are using cameras to monitor the child’s movement and condition, and multiple methods to ensure her safe rescue. Oxygen and food are being supplied to the child, who is currently stuck at 35 feet.
