New Delhi: Calling himself a ‘Bhakt’ of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that he has resolved to ensure that Babasaheb’s message reaches every household.
“We have made education about Baba Saheb compulsory in Delhi schools,” said Kejriwal while addressing a programme to celebrate the birth anniversary of Ambedkar at Thyagraj Stadium.
Kejriwal also said his government has improved government schools to such an extent that people from across the globe are coming to see these “remarkable changes”.
The American President Donald Trump’s wife Melania Trump came to see a Delhi government school on her visit to India. It was a moment of pride for us, he said, adding that his Tamil Nadu counterpart M.K. Stalin also came to see Delhi government schools recently.
He also announced that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his officers will visit Delhi government schools on Monday to see the improvement in them.
