New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has achieved a significant victory in Delhi, marking its return to power in the national capital after 27 years.
The win is seen as a reflection of voters’ trust in the party’s governance model and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
BJP National Vice President, Kendrapara MP, and Delhi Election Incharge Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda played a pivotal role in the campaign, focusing on a robust grassroots outreach. The party engaged with various sections of society, including women, youth, auto and cab drivers, and Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), to connect with voters effectively.
Speaking about the victory, Panda said, “This result shows that the people of Delhi want governance that delivers on promises and focuses on development. The overwhelming response from our workers on the ground was a clear sign that Delhi was ready for a change.”
The BJP has emphasized its commitment to good governance, economic growth, and improved civic infrastructure in the capital. With a “double-engine” government—where the same party rules at both the state and central levels—the party aims to ensure seamless implementation of policies and development projects.
The party has expressed gratitude to the people of Delhi for their support and reiterated its promise to build a stronger and more prosperous city under PM Modi’s leadership.
