New Delhi:  Heavy rainfall in the national capital on Sunday claimed another life as a woman was killed and another injured when a fencing wall of the railway collapsed and fell on them near the St Stephen’s Hospital in north Delhi, officials said.

The Fire Department received a call about the incident around 5 p.m., following which two fire tenders were promptly dispatched to the site.

“The collapsed structure was a fencing wall of the railway. Both women were rescued from the debris and taken to the hospital, where one of them was declared dead upon arrival,” an official said.

The official also mentioned that the local police were informed, and the other woman is currently in critical condition and receiving treatment at the hospital.
