Sundargarh: A 2.5-year-old child died after being run over by a tractor near the Panchmukh Hanuman Temple in Sundargarh town on Tuesday.
According to reports, the child was traveling with his father on a scooter when it collided with a bike, causing him to fall off. The tractor, engaged in municipal sanitary work, ran over the child. The driver was reportedly intoxicated, and the tractor lacked insurance.
The child was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The incident sparked tension in the locality.
