Jajpur: One person was killed while 20 others were injured after truck collided with a bus in Jaraka town under Dharmachaya police limits in Odisha’s Jajpur district on late Sunday night.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, while the condition of two injured is said to be critical and have been shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
According to reports, a private bus named ‘RAJA’ was on its way to Bhubaneswar from Baripada when it collided with a stationary truck near Jaraka Chhak on National Highway 16 leading to the death of one passenger and injuring 20 others.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation into the fatal accident. Police have seized the bus but it is not clear as to how the two vehicles collided.
