Nabarangpur: One person was killed and another was injured when the bike in which they were travelling collided with another bike coming from the opposite direction near Kandhaguda chhak under Jharigaon police limits in Nabarangpur district on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Ganapati Kalar (28) of Fufugaon.
According to reports, Jaladhar Kalar (30) and Ganapati Kalar (28) of Fufugaon village had gone to their niece’s house at Kutubai village of Dhamnaguda panchayat on their bike.
While they were returning home their bike collided with another bike from the opposite direction.
Ganapati Kalar sustained severe head injury in the accident, while Jaladhar Kalar escaped with minor injuries. Locals rushed them to Jharigaon Community Health Centre (CHC).
However, doctors at the CHC declared Ganapati Kalar dead. The condition of Jaladhar Kalar who is undergoing treatment at the CHC is stated to be stable.
