Dhenkanal: One person was killed and two others were seriously injured after a bomb exploded at Jhatikipasi village under Kankadahad police station in Dhenkanal district on Monday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Devendra Tiu, a resident of Jhatikipasi village. The injured individuals have been named as Bulu Nayak and Bhanja Nayak, both also from the same village.
According to Devendra’s family members, the explosion occurred while he was handling firecrackers.
Upon hearing the blast, family members rushed to assist the critically injured individuals. The first was admitted to the Kamakhyanagar Community Health Center (CHC). After their condition worsened, they were transferred to the Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
