Cuttack: Purighat police have arrested another accused Vikash Kumar (33) from Patna in Bihar in connection with the fake medicine sale case.
A team headed by IIC Purighat police station arrested Kumar from Patna on Tuesday at 3.15 PM under sections 420, 465, 467, 471, 336, 326, 483, 486, 120-B, 34 of IPC and produced him before the Court of ACJM-4 of Patna City, police said.
Kumar who hails from Bhagwatnagar under Agamkuan police limits of Bihar was absconding and avoiding police arrest.
Kumar has been brought to Purighat police station on transit remand and will be produced before the Court of SDJM, Sadar Cuttack today, police added.
Earlier, in the spurious medicines case, six accused persons were arrested including two from outside the State and were forwarded to court, police further said.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
