Bhubaneswar: As per the Socio Economic & Caste Census (SECC)-2011, a total of 5,308 households in Odisha were identified without shelter, informed Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Minister Pradip Kumar Amat in the State Assembly today.
Replying to a query from Congress Member Suresh Kumar Routray, Amat told the House that a total of 40.45 lakh households had applied for houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and out of them 10, 56,280 households have been found to be eligible for allotment of houses after verification.
