Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, more than 10 children sustained critical injuries after being electrocuted in Phasiguda village, located in Ganjam district, on Sunday.
The incident took place during a cultural function organised to mark the inauguration of a local village temple at Phasiguda village.
According to reports, due to sudden rainfall, small children took shelter under the temporary setup for a drama when they got exposed to electricity.
The injured children were immediately rushed to the Digapahandi Community Health Centre for initial treatment. Out of these, four children with serious injuries were shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur.
