10 Students Fall Ill After Consuming Wild Fruits In Rayagada

Rayagada: At least 10 students of Bariguda Primary School near Theruvali in Odisha’s Rayagada district suddenly fell ill after consuming wild fruits.

According to reports, the students consumed the fruits plucking them from trees while returning from the school. Soon, they vomited and complained of chest pain. They were first admitted to the IMFA Medical Center and then shifted to the Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

All the students are from Classes 1 to 5 and have been identified as Itishree Hikka, Chiku Hikka, Suresh Hikka, Santoshi Kadraka, Mahi Huika, Ashok Hikka, Sohan Kulusika, Aditya Kadraka and Kishan Kadraka.

While the condition of most of the students are said to be stable after preliminary treatment Itishree still complained of chest pain and breathing problems.
