Cuttack: Ten girl students sustained varying degrees of injuries after a passenger bus hit a school bus in Cuttack city on Tuesday morning. All the injured students have been admitted to a local hospital.
As per reports, a private school bus was hit by a speeding passenger bus near Khannagar Traffic Chowk from behind while it was transporting the students to school. More than 10 students were injured in this accident.
Soon after the accident, the driver of the passenger bus fled from the scene and the locals rushed the injured students to the hospital by an ambulance.
Tension prevailed in the area after the accident as locals staged a road blockade demanding the arrest of the errant passenger bus driver. The situation was brought under control by the police who have launched an investigation into the incident.
