Bhubaneswar: The two editions of ‘Make in Odisha’ conclaves held at Bhubaneswar in 2016 and 2018 had combinedly received 286 Expression of Interest (EoI) proposals worth Rs 6,26,350,00 crore for setting up various industrial projects in the State, informed Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb in the Odisha Assembly today.
Responding to a query from BJD Member Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, the Minister told the House that out of the 286 EOIs a total of 167 projects have been cleared by the State and District level single window clearance authorities.
Out of the aforementioned 167 projects, 107 have been grounded so far and are either partially of fully operational, Deb said.
A total of Rs 510,187 crore have been invested in these 107 projects having an employment potential of 3,23,012 persons, he added.
Deb said that for organizing the two editions of Make in Odisha in 2016 and 2018 an expenditure of Rs 20,79,96,000 and Rs 34,51,00,000 was incurred respectively.
