Bhubaneswar: A 108 ambulance caught fire and was completely gutted in a sudden blaze near Ayatpur in Khordha district late last night. Fortunately, the three crew members on board managed to escape unhurt.
According to eyewitnesses, the ambulance was on its way when the driver noticed smoke coming from the battery area. Despite efforts to extinguish the flames using fire extinguishers, the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire vehicle.
The crew members quickly evacuated the ambulance, and within minutes, the vehicle was reduced to ashes. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
The ambulance was completely gutted, leaving behind only charred remains. The crew members are shaken but grateful to have escaped without injuries.
An investigation into the incident is underway to determine the cause of the fire and prevent such incidents in the future.
