Bhubaneswar: As many as five persons were injured as a 108 ambulance carrying them overturned on the road near Tukuna village under Nandipada police station in Keonjhar district, in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the ambulance carrying a pharmacist, a patient and his two relatives lost balance and hit a tree on the roadside. As a result, five persons, including the patient, his relatives, the driver and pharmacist, were injured.
Soon after the mishap, locals rescued them and rushed the injured patient and their relatives to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital via 112 ambulance. However, the ambulance driver and pharmacist were admitted to Anandapur Hospital for treatment.
