Bhubaneswar: Amid the chaos of Cyclone Dana, a 108 ambulance worker from Rajnagar Block in Kendrapara district has emerged as a hero.
Manash Kumar Mallick’s selfless act of carrying a patient on his shoulder to the nearest ambulance just before cyclone Dana’s landfall has earned widespread admiration from all and sundry.
Meanwhile, the video showcasing Mallick’s selfless deed has gone viral on social media with social media users flood the platforms with praise and appreciation for Mallick.
Of late, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida took to her X handle to praise Mallick’s selfless service during crisis.

She shared a video showcasing Mallick’s selfless efforts, where he braved severe rain and ran through fields to ensure a patient’s timely transportation to a 108 ambulance.
In her post, she wrote, “Hats off to him for his courageous and compassionate actions! May Lord Jagannath bless him with a bright and prosperous future.”
Following her message, many netizens came forward to express their gratitude and praised Mallick for his heroic efforts.
