Bhubaneswar: Altogether 11 students of a government UP school in Bhadrak reportedly fell ill after consuming Mid-day meal in which a lizard was found.
The incident happened at Elekha Project UP School in Bhadrak district.
A lizard was found from the meal when the students were partaking of the meal in the school on Saturday. Later, the students complained of vomiting and nausea.
They all were admitted to the district headquarters hospital. Their condition is stated to be sable.
Block Education Officer (BEO) Chakradhar Mallik, MLA Sanjeev Mallik and CDMO met the ailing students at the hospital and enquired about their health condition.
MLA Sanjeev Mallik assured against the erring persons or organization after an investigation.
Earlier, around 40 students of a government school in Shankarpur in the same district had taken ill after consuming MDM at school. Later, a lizard was found in the meal.
