Bargarh: Locals under the banner of Bargarh Sachetana Nagarika Committee are observing a 12-hour bandh in Bargarh on Saturday protesting the action of police over the death of Aditya Raj, a student of Vikash First Step School.
Reportedly, police had registered cases against nine parents who had staged a demonstration in front of the school on July 25 demanding action against the school administration and a probe into the death of Aditya Raj, who had died on the school premises.
The bandh had brought normal life to a standstill. Government and private offices, educational institutions, markets, and business establishments have been closed. The protestors were also seen picketing at several places. Several organisations also supported the bandh call.
