Bhubaneswar: As many as 12 labourers were injured, five of them criticaly, after a borewell drilling truck overturned at Taptapani ghati in Ganjam district on Sunday.
The accident occurred after its driver lost control over the wheel while negotiating a curve. The vehicle was heading towards Berhampur from Gajapati.
According to reports, one labourer is trapped under the heavy vehicle while another was rescued by the locals.
All of the injured persons have been admitted to Digapahandi Health Centre.
Pattapur police, fire brigade teams from Ganjam and Gajapati rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
Police also launched an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the mishap.
