12 Pilgrims From Bengal Injured In Bus Mishap In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: At least 12 pilgrims returning home in West Bengal’s Medinapore from Puri were injured when the bus they were travelling by met with a freak accident in Odisha’s Balasore on Thursday morning.

According to reports, the accident occurred near Nidhipanda on National Highway 60 in Balasore as visibility was reduced significantly due to dense fog.

More than 50 pilgrims were returning home after having darshan of the Holy Trinity in Puri’s Srimandir by the bus and all the injured were admitted to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). On being informed, the Regional Transport Officer arrived at the accident and took stock of the situation.

A detailed report is awaited.
