12 Students Fall Ill After Consuming Jatropha Fruits In Rayagada

Rayagada: As many as 12 students of Boriguda school under Kolnara block in Rayagada district fell sick after consuming jatropha fruits, on Monday.

According to sources, the students ate the jatropha fruits while returning home from school. After some time of consumption, students aged between 5-12 experienced stomach pain and subsequently, they started vomiting.

Soon their parents came to know about it, they took them to Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital. Their condition is stated to be critical.

Meanwhile, Rayagada legislator Kadraka Appala Swamy visited the hospital to take stock of the situation.
