Sundargarh: With 13 new cases of scrub typhus detected in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Wednesday, the total number of patients in the district reached 263.
While the vector-borne disease seems to have subsided in the Bargarh district, it is spreading alarmingly in Sundargarh. At least one person has succumbed to the disease in the district so far.
Sambalpur district Chief Medical Officer said that a team of doctors are working on containing the disease and sufficient medicines are in stock to deal with the situation.
