Cuttack: Around 15 electric scooters and other furniture were reduced to ashes after fire broke out in an EV showroom at College Square in Cuttack on Friday night.
Five fire brigade teams controlled the fire after an hour-long operation. More than 20 personnel were engaged in the operation. While the cause of the fire is not clear, it is suspected that the showroom caught fire from a short circuit or a battery vehicle in the three-storey building.
The firefighting team brought the fire under control before the flames engulfed the upper floor.
The showroom is located on the ground floor of this four-storey building.
The fire accident triggered panic among people residing in the building
The reason for the fire is not yet clear. We will investigate the reason of the inferno. No human casualty is reported, said a deputy fire officer.
