Bhubaneswar: As many as 15 persons sustained injuries after being stung by honey bees at Demuria village under Jaleswar block in Balasore on Saturday.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Jaleswar Hospital. Out of 15, the condition of four persons is stated to be critical.
According to sources, the villagers had gone to a crematorium to attend the final rites of a fellow villager Anant Jena when honeybees attacked them. The villagers ran hither to thither to save their lives leaving the body there.
On a tip-off, the fire-fighting team reached the spot and shooed away the bees.
