16,384 More Beneficiaries Get COVID-19 Vaccines In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Total 16,384 beneficiaries received COVID-19 vaccines in Odisha on Friday. This figure is 124 per cent of the vaccination target for the day, the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department informed.

Maximum number of beneficiaries today were from Ganjam district with 2,892 vaccinations.

Sundergarh and Kendrapada followed Ganjam with 1,404 and 1,325 vaccinations today.

Khurda and Dhenkanal reported 1,283 and 1,151 novel Coronavirus vaccinations on Friday.

In Bhubaneswar, 1,137 beneficiaries received COVID vaccines today. One Adverse event following immunization (AEFI) case was reported in the State today. This AEFI was reported at Bargarh. However, there was no vaccination carried out in Bargarh which indicated that the AEFI case beneficiary was vaccinated on an earlier date.

Total 152 sessions were held today out of which COVAXIN was administered at 14 sites, while COVISHIELD vaccine was administered at the rest 138 sites, the H&FW Department informed. Below is the detailed list of district-wise vaccinations for the day:
