**Bhubaneswar:** Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday flagged off 17 new PCR vehicles including five patrolling bikes of Commissionerate Police.
The CM inaugurated these vehicles at a special function here at the Commissionerate Police headquarters.
Speaking on this occasion, the CM said, “Deployment of more vehicles with modern equipment will enhance the capacity of the Commissionerate Police to track down criminals and control crime and provide better services to the people of twin city.”
Presently, there are 33 light PCR vehicles in Bhubaneswar and 22 vehicles, deployed for Cuttack.
Police Commissioner Y.B. Khurania said, “We hope that with the addition of new vehicles, we will face less mechanical problems.”
