Baripada: A new twist has emerged in the death case of a Class IX student whose body was found hanging in her hostel room at Udala in Mayurbhanj district.
As per reports, the student’s body was found hanging at Udala Anwesha Hostel in Baripada on Wednesday. A forensic team during an investigation found a suicide note in which she mentioned her romantic relationship. In the note, she also stated that no one, including the hostel authorities, was responsible for her death.
On the other hand, the deceased student’s family claimed that they were unaware of the suicide note.
Meanwhile, around 170 hostel inmates left the hostel on the same night following the incident.
After the student’s death at the hostel, parents expressed concerns over the safety of their children, alleging that the hostel’s security arrangements were inadequate. The hostel, which has 170 students, saw more than half of them leave abruptly on the same night.
