Bhubaneswar: The Capital City on Monday reported 172 new cases of COVID-19 and 204 recoveries.
Among the new cases, 46 persons are in quarantine while 126 are local contact cases.
No COVID fatalities were reported in Bhubaneswar during the last 24 hours, the information shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) revealed.
Among the local contacts, 9 cases are from Nayapalli while 7 are from Chandrasekharpur and 8 are from Patia area of the city.
Similarly, 5 cases each have been detected in Bhimtangi, Khandagiri, and Baramunda. Six new cases were reported from Sunderpada on Monday, the BMC stated.
As on September 6, the city’s COVID tally stood at 1,08,085 while the total number recoveries was 1,04,095. As many as 1,004 persons have succumbed to the disease in the city.
At present, Bhubaneswar has 2,965 active COVID-19 cases.
