Bhubaneswar: The 175th and 176th State Level Bankers Committee meeting was held today.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Anu Garg praised the banks for their good performance. Against the annual credit plan (ACP) target of Rs 1,60,280 crores for the financial year 2023-24, the banks have achieved 1,65,621 crores which is 103.33 percent.
Garg requested the banks to achieve the annual credit plan target of Rs 2,10,546 crore for the current financial year.
In view of the 100th anniversary of the formation of a separate Odisha state in 2036, the government is implementing many ambitious plans with the aim of making Odisha a leading financial power.
Garg said that with successful implementation of these plans, banks will play a meaningful role in the development of the state.
Principal Secretary Saswat Mishra has advised all banks to give priority to government sponsored schemes and sanction more and more applications.
In the meeting, NABARD Chief General Manager Sudhanshu K. K. Mishra, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India. Sarada Prasanna Mohanty, Executive Director of UCO Bank Vijay Kumar Nibruti Kamble, Director of various departments including Chief General Manager Gautam Patra and representatives of all public and private banks of the state attended.
