197 Workers From Odisha Died In Outside States In Last 5 Years: Minister

Bhubaneswar: A total of 197 workers from Odisha have died in outside states in the last five years (2019-2024 June), informed Labour & Employees State Insurance Minister Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia in the Odisha Assembly on Tuesday.

The Minister shared the information in a written reply to a query from BJD member Sanatan Mahakud.

Similarly, a total of 31 workers from Odisha have died in foreign countries during the aforementioned period, the Minister added in his reply.
