Bhubaneswar: Total 19,847 beneficiaries (healthcare workers and frontline workers) received the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Odisha today. Similarly, 8,007 HCWs and FLWs got the first dose of the COVID jab on Thursday, the Health and Family Welfare Department informed.
Total 298 vaccination sessions were planned and as many held across the state in which the percentage achievement for the first dose was 95.2 and second dose was 92.2. In Bhubaneswar, 804 received the first dose while 1,211 got the second dose of the COVID vaccine.
Among these, 2,591 beneficiaries got Covishield and 100 received Covaxin across the State on February 25. Khordha performed best in terms of achievement for the first dose with 248.1% while, Dhenkanal topped the second dose’ chart at 196.9% vaccination (of the target).
So far, 2,98,217 beneficiaries have received the first dose of the vaccine while 1,54,434 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the COVID jab in Odisha. Among them, 4,52,651 are HCWs while 1,60,151 are FLWs, the H&FW Department stated.
