1st Phase Vaccination: Odisha Scales Up District-Wise Session Sites To 380

Bhubaneswar: After a break yesterday (Sunday) in a bid to further gear up the mega Covid-19 vaccination drive in the wake of its nationwide launch on Saturday (January 16) last week, Odisha Government has prepared a micro plan for enhancing the district-wise session sites from 161 to 380 from today (January 18) to January 25 slated for the first phase.

Sources also said that 31,902 beneficiaries, especially the health workers, will be vaccinated in the 380 session sites today. Every private and government medical college shall have the session site (vaccination centre).

As per the district-wise Covid-19 Vaccination Micro Plan of the State Government from January 18 to January 25, 39 sessions in Bhubaneswar has maximum 39 session sites from today while as many as 2864 persons will be vaccinated.

Out of the 380 scaled up session sites besides 39 in Bhubaneswar, Ganjam district now has 34 session sites, Mayurbhanj 30, Puri 26, Balangir 19, Khurda and Bargarh 16 and so on.

Sources further said that vaccination will be provided at five places in each medical college while 200 beneficiaries instead of 100 will be vaccinated in two session sites at the DHHs and CHCs.

Also, there will be six instead of five manpower in-charge of every vaccination center.
