Bhubaneswar: Nayapalli police have arrested two persons for allegedly not paying rental of vehicles hired by them from two car rental agencies nor returning the vehicles.
The accused have been identified as Susanta Kumar Sahu (41) and R Tata Rao (35).
Police have seized nine vehicles (cars & SUVs) from their possession.
According to the police, the accused were arrested following raids at their premises based on complaints filed by one Rajat Kumar Sahu owner of Rideez Car Rental, and one Suraj Kumar Bisoyi owner of a self-drive car agency in the name of BTA Ride.
The accused persons have been booked under sections 406 and 420 of the IPC.
Accused Susant Kumar Sahu along with his associate R Tata Rao hired vehicles from Rideez Car Rental and BTA Ride. They neither paid the rent of the vehicles nor returned those to the agencies.
The accused have confessed to their crime and have been forwarded to the court following their arrest.
