Sundergarh: Sundergarh Town police station on Wednesday arrested two youths on charges of drug trafficking.
The accused youths have been identified as Debadutta Mohanty (33) of Rangadhipa village and Pinku Oram (32) of Luhuradhipa village under Sundergarh Town police station limits.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the accused persons at Adarshanagar bypass and following a search in the presence of the Executive Magistrate and other witnesses seized 5.3 gm of brown sugar locally known as ‘tarky’ from their possession.
Police have also seized three mobile phones and cash of Rs 200 from their possession.
